1. Make a Note of the Login Items

The higher the number of applications to start, the longer it will take for a computer to boot. It is good for you to know that some application open automatically during boot up by default. Visit System Preferences, then Users and Groups and finally click on the Login Items. Uncheck the applications which you do not need to start during boot up.
